Music

Bette was a pianist in her youth and also had a lovely voice.
We don’t have recordings of her own performances
but here are some pieces she enjoyed listening to
and sometimes dancing or singing along to.

She would do a very amusing "fire-dance" round the living room to this
"Hiawatha" song composed and sung by her son David
Hiawatha

Other music she would sing along to included "Old time music hall"
(here’s a video of singalongs sung by David illustrating some of those)

Two other videos of particular interest:
A French folk song arrangement "Rossignol du bois sauvage", which Bette was particularly fond of

A poem by Stan addressed to Bette, to the music of "Silver hairs among the gold"

Thank you

Stan and family would like to thank everyone who came to the funeral for their good wishes, and also for the generous contributions in aid of Age UK.

This came to over £250 which with gift aid means that Age UK will benefit by over £300.
