Financial News

Financial NewsI've just made a successful international transfer using TransferWise (to pay for some recording work for my upcoming CD "Approaching Reality" - of which more later :-)).
I saved over a hundred pounds compared with the cost of transferring directly through my bank.

This company charges much lower fees than banks themselves (it goes through the banking system of course, but only as a vehicle, because it uses its own branch accounts in each country).

(It also refunds you the relevant amount if the final rate of exchange turns out to be lower that first thought).

They are also very helpful - I was a bit confused on my first go but they were very patient and took me through all the necessary steps..

So, if you want to make an international transfer any time and you want to avoid the exorbitant costs of doing it directly through a bank, it's definitely worth considering.

Here's the link if you are interested, or pass it on to anyone else you know who might be interested.
