Description
The inspiration for this impressionistic guitar solo goes back to 1975 when I read Adalbert Stifter’s Brigitta, but, as I see it thirty four years later, the music doesn’t really have so much to do with the story. However, having met two Brigitten recently, with whom I was pleased to sing at a Singkreis in Haworth, I renamed the piece “Brigitte” in their honour, transcribed it from my old manuscripts and performed it this very evening.
