Sardonic darkly humorous setting of the poem by John Heath-Stubbs,
permitted in accordance with the contract with David Higham Co Ltd, the holder of the rights of the estate of John Heath-Stubbs.
I set this poem for three equal voices.
The harmonies are quite close and scrunchy; they represent the throbbing of the toothache in question and the mental effect of it.
