Carnival Song (We are going to the carnival) for soprano and alto recorders

Based on my song from 1980 (composed on the airplane on my way back to the UK!)
“We are going to the carnival”

I have used the tune and made various versions in various modes for this instrumental duo.

The original song was sung by my neigbours’ children (with my accompaniment)
in Bromley by Bow, in London, for the Victoria Park carnival.

The words of the original song are:
“We are going to the carnival, carnival, carnival
We are going to the carnival, the carnival today”
followed by the names of the various countries the children come from.

As indicated in the score, the staccato passages can be performed in breakbox style if preferred.
