Description
This parody started life as a real event: a mouse came into the house and began eating the cat’s food. The cat had no idea what to do and looked up imploringly at me. I finally “persuaded” the mouse to leave, but, as I was arranging a Swabian folksong for another set of musicians at the time, I was inspired to create this parody as well. The mouse shows the cat how to get more interesting food (roast chicken) from the fridge!
Diese Parodie entstand aus einer wahren Begebenheit: Eine Maus kam ins Haus und begann, das Katzenfutter zu fressen. Die Katze wusste nicht, was sie tun sollte, und sah mich flehend an. Ich habe die Maus schließlich dazu gebracht zu gehen. Da ich aber gerade ein schwäbisches Volkslied für eine andere Gruppe von Musikern arrangierte, kam mir die Idee zu dieser Parodie. Die Maus zeigt der Katze, wie sie an interessanteres Futter (Brathähnchen) aus dem Kühlschrank kommt!
