Various arrangements of the old carol Gaudete – versions in D Dorian (SABar) and in B Dorian (SAB) with or without piano.
(Specially arranged for choirs in places where tenors are scarce….)

Separate optional piano parts are also provided for each key

Refrain:
Gaudete! gaudete! Christus est natus ex Maria virgine, gaudete!

Tempus adest gratiae, hoc quod optabamus;
carmina laetitiae devote reddamus.

Soprano solo:
Deus homo factus est, natura mirante;
mundus renovatus est a Christo regnante.

Bass solo:
Ezechielis porta clausa pertransistur;
unde lux est orta, salus invenitur.

Soprano solo:
Ergo nostra contio psallat iam in lustro;
Benedicat Domino; salus regi nostro.

[My literal translation, for convenience, not for singing]
Refrain:
Rejoice! Rejoice! Christ is born of the Virgin Mary, Rejoice!

Bass solo:
The time of grace has come, the time we desired;
let us devoutly offer songs of gladness.

Soprano solo:
God is made human and nature looks on in wonder;
the world is renewed by Christ who reigns

Bass solo:
The gate of Ezekiel that was closed
has been passed through;
where the light has risen salvation is found.

Soprano solo:
So our gathering now sings in the purification;
May the Lord be blessed, salvation to our king.
