He blows bubbles at them all for flute, bassoon and piano

Description

A humorous and curiously modulating arrangement for flute, bassoon and piano of my song based on the poem
“The learnèd hippopotamus”, by Gavin Ewart.

The learnèd hippopotamus
uses longs words like “dichtomous”
If they don’t exist, he makes them up
The true scholars and the high-brows
Raise their supercilious eyebrows
But he blows bubbles at them all –
glug glug glup and glup!
