Arrangement of John Dowland’s lute song “I saw my lady weep”.
In the first verse the piccolo takes the vocal line while the alto flute takes the bass line
and the C flutes complete the harmony of the original lute part
In the second verse the 2nd flute takes the vocal line, the alto flute continues to take the bass line
and the piccolo and 1st flute move round to complete the harmonies.
Versions are also available for string quartet, various wind quartets and brass quartet.
