Description
This is an arrangement of one of many canons by Mozart.
As far as I can establish, the original words were in French:
“Las, je pleure, j’ai perdu mon amie” [Alas, I weep, I have lost my beloved].
For the recorder quartet versions I have transposed a couple of sections up an octave
for the alto and bass recorder parts to keep them in range.
Versions are available here in B minor and in A minor.
