O’Carolan’s Concerto – 2 flutes

Category:

Description

Turlough O’Carolan was a blind Celtic harper, composer and singer in Ireland in the late 17th and early 18th centuries. His famous concerto is a traditional Irish reel originally written for a single instrument. Here it is arranged for two flutes so that the melody can switch between the instruments, to enable some harmonic accompaniment (and a little breathing time for each player!).

It is performed here by Nancy Tyler and Elyce Osterman
