Phrygian Variations on The Ash Grove (Llwyn Onn) for Violin, Cello and Classical Guitar

Description

A series of variations on “The Ash Grove” based on three versions of the Phrygian Mode.
In the first half the Violin plays the main tune with variations and the Cello has a countermelody.
It starts in C# Phrygian (c# d e f# g# a b)
continues with E Phrygian (e f g a b c d)
and then goes on to F# Phrygian (f# g a b c# d e)
In the second half the Cello takes over the main tune with different variations and the Violin has alternative versions of the countermelody, using the same sequence of C#, E and F# Phrygian
