The grass is growing in the field of ash for 2 flutes and piano

Description

Arrangement for 2 flutes and piano of my composition “The grass is growing in the field of ash”. I have kept the piano part light, similar to the original guitar part, in order to avoid detracting from the melody instruments, although I have added one or two pianistic devices on occasion.
The piece was originally conceived as a 60s style folk vocal duet on this poem by Mark Haviland:
“The grass is growing in the field of ash
Come look come see
with the passing of each day
the green grows stronger than the grey”

The music is performed by Elyce Ostermann, Nancy Tyler and Richard Riccardi
