Description
Originally an anthem by Maurice Greene for soloist and choir with organ, taken from Psalm 65, vv.9 & 11, which is often sung in churches around harvest time:
Thou visitest the earth
And blessest it,
And blessest it;
And crownest the year,
The year with thy goodness.
This version uses just the solo part and adds a few ornaments on the repetition of the music. The organ part is for manuals only, so it can also be played on piano or electronic keyboard.
