Sextet based on my vocal setting of a poem by a “sort of hippy” friend in Strasbourg back in the 1970s
“Nous avons volé de sandales si légères
Marchons au bord des allées
A la nuit tombée nous irons
nous cachant des gardiens austères
libérer libérer libérer … le cormorant”
In the sextet the tune also has, mixed in, the old English hymn “Lead us heavenly father lead us”.
