This was written originally as a song for alto and guitar to an alto in our choir, followed by a lengthy instrumental fantasy. I don’t think she ever heard the song… And she certainly didn’t know I had an interest in her ….. Ah well! Just as well really!
A few months later I sang it to my boyfriend, who liked it and thought I ought to sing it to her – but I never dared!
