Description
This is part of a project composed for a group based on the Old Kent Road in London.
They provided some lyrics which I set to music for them (around 1982), but the project never took off.
I never met the person to whom the letter was addressed (called Howard Nicholls apparently…)
but I got the impression that he did exist and meant a great deal to the group.
The words (now lost) certainly brought out a romantic theme within the project.
I decided recently that this particular theme would work nicely for a simple clarinet and guitar combination
