The “Our Father” setting, which I set as part of my Preces and Responses, is now also published separately in various versions:
choral (with doxology and without doxology [1662 BCP version]),
brass quartet (various combinations of brass instruments),
– all in appropriate keys for the various combinations of instruments.
The music is lyrical and is reminiscent of the early 1662 settings complete with an English cadence at the end,
but with a curious addition of a quote from Tchaikovksy’s “fate theme” at the “deliver us from evil” section.
