Description
Here we take the hymn gently through variations (decorations), but keeping the harmony mainly in accordance with the first verse.
We give each instrument the main melody in turn.
In verse three the mode changes to the relative minor and for verse four the mode returns to major while the soprano recorder provides a descant.
