Description
Arrangement of this lute song by John Dowland in which, in verses 2 and 3, the melody instruments
take turns at the tune and the countermelodies which I have added.
The original madrigal begins:
Flow not so fast, ye fountains;
What needeth all this haste?
Swell not above your mountains,
Nor spend your time in waste.
Gentle springs, freshly your salt tears
Must still fall dropping from their spheres.
