Ständchen (Serenade) (based on Theobald Böhm’s arrangement of the Schubert song) for violin and guitar

Description

Theobald Böhm (1794-1881) made a brilliant arrangement of Schubert’s
Serenade (Ständchen – “Leise flehen meine Lieder”) for concert flute and piano (in D minor).

This version is based on my original setting of the song for melody instrument and guitar (in A minor)
but is extended in line with the Böhm arrangement, allowing the violin
to blossom into lyrical variations of the melody.
I have followed much of Böhm’s flute breathing for the violin bowing
but I have made a few changes to allow for upbow staccato technique.
